Deticated to Pert!

There is a girl on a pet rock forum (link here: http://board.pets-buynow.com/Exotic_Pets/PET_ROCKS_NEW_FORUM?pg=8) named Biggles. Her pet rock, Pert, died. here is his story from what i know!

FINDING PERT!

Me,my brother, and my mom were going to the animal rescue center so my my brother could get a cat since he seemed responsible enough to care for one. I looked longingly around, and thought "I don't want a cat, I want a pet rock because they are smarter and a lot more unique." To my pleasure, i saw a sign that said "abused rocks waiting for loving homes, in the back room on the left back corner." I went to the back room to see the rocks, and i fond them. they're were about 20 rocks in several cages. I looked at each and every rock. at the bottom of their cages they're was a note on how they were abused, who they were abused by, and how they winded up in the animal rescue center. i saw a rock I liked , the note on the bottom of the cage said "i was abused by an old man. He kicked me, slapped me, hit me, and starved me. I couldn't take it anymore, so i ran away. I was found by a young boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old after running away for about 60 miles. He was just as worst of the old man. He didn't know how take care of me, so he stared me, didn't keep me clean so i got very ill, didn't give me a bed to sleep on, and since he thought i was just a toy, tormented me by skipping me on lakes, throwing me up and land on the hard dirt, and much more. i ran away from him to. Someone found me and put me right in this cage about 2 months ago." i felt so, so sorry for the little rock, so I knew immediately I should bring him home, and I knew how to take care of him properly. He was such a cute rock too, I couldn't bear to see him stay here any longer. So I took him home, cleaned him, feed him, and gave him a place to sleep. PERT GETS LOST!

Biggles was walking in her yard, and Pert slipped out of her pocket! she looked for two days, and she didnt find him! Then, she walked into a ditch, and THERE WAS PERT! he was cold, hungry and scared because a thunderstorm happened a few hours ago! Pert heard wolves howling too! but Biggles took him inside, and she cared for him, and he was all better again!

PERT DIES! :'(

Pert was sitting on Biggles' desk, when he fell down and got sucked up by her moms vaccum cleaner! Biggles tried to get Pert, but her mom wouldnt let her and Pert was shattered to bits and left in the trash! Then, the garbage people came and took the trash, so Pert could never be found again!
